James Jackson

Consultant
James is a consultant to JPES Partners. He provides advice to clients on all aspects of delivering and communicating a successful investment strategy, including product offerings, organisational settings, investment teams and process structures.

Previously, James was a senior member of Aon’s global manager research team for thirteen years. In this role, he managed fund selection processes and research agendas for a global team, with a focus on equity funds. This included the curation of ‘Buy Lists’ using an institutional process of quantitative and qualitative research. James’ research served different client needs across the world, working with DB and DC pension funds, endowments, foundations and sovereign wealth funds, developing a strong track record of recognising success indicators for differentiated investment strategies with a long runway of outperformance and asset growth ahead of them.

While at Aon, James also led the equity manager research input to multi-manager equity solutions for the EMEA OCIO business.  He has provided advice to asset managers on product shaping, narrative development, communication, and ESG policy, and co-designed an investment strategy. Prior to his role at Aon, James spent four years at PwC, and became a CFA charterholder in 2011.
